In our manual handling course, you will learn about the workplace regulations in place, and how to perform the required actions safely. The course looks at the regulations, best practice and responsibilities, before moving on to look at the spinal anatomy and related injuries.
You will learn how to create and perform an adequate risk assessment, and how to use this to put risk reduction procedures in place. Basic back care will ensure you lessen your own risk of injury, and we will teach you the best practice ways to lift and move heavy loads.
There is also opportunity on this course to supplement additional sections that relate directly to your organisation’s industry, for example a focus on best practice handling of the exact equipment that your staff will be working with on a daily basis.
