This course deals with medication in the work place, from understanding each type of medication, to identifying an individual’s rights to administer any medication.
You will learn about medical legislation and the 7 rights to medication administration. You will learn to classify types of medication and understand the routes by which each is administered. We will cover the role of the pharmacist and how best to handle medication, before looking into reactions and side effects of different medications.
By the end of the course, you will understand who is responsible for medication, where and how it should be stored and how to dispose of unwanted medication safely and securely.
